Being part of this organization will allow an individual to help shape and impact the future of military tactics and technology.
Directed Energy efforts will be in conjunction with laser weapon programs such as HELIOS and allow the selected individual to work with and learn from program representatives as they support required development and analysis on the effects of adding Directed Energy to the battlefield.
As a member of the development team, you will work in an Agile environment and have the opportunity for projects at the RMS business area level and also with the Corporate team cross-business area opportunities. This senior Software Engineer will develop and provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate to advanced scope and complexity, be up to date on the latest developments in the subject areas and take initiative to improve the overarching development environment.
Occasional travel to support cross business area events or Laser Weapon System efforts may be required. Should this match be identified you may be contacted for this and future openings.
Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
