1028 tt crimp tool

Used for bike wiring but works on 60s muscle cars too. Read more As described. I had to crimp in excess of over trifurcon pins, both in a and gauge. Not a single wasted pin and I've never had that kind of success rate before.

Every crimp was perfect! I'd buy it again in a heartbeat, but the way it's constructed I'll probably wind up going to my death before needing another. Excellent Crimper for open barrel, B-crimp, W-crimp terminals.

This is an excellent tool for the open barrel terminal, sometimes called "B crimp", sometimes called "W crimp". The parallel jaw design does an excellent job of making a symmetrical crimp. The tool joints have zero play, which is good because it keeps the dies well aligned. If you want to be able to open it with one hand you will have to open and close it with two hands fifty times or so, first.

There are no directions except for the label on the box, which lists the range of wire sizes covered by each cavity A through E. The following table is more convenient than reading the range list. Good crimper for occasional use, but not perfect. To that end, it fits the bill alright, though I do have a few small gripes.

Bear in mind, this is the first crimper of this style I've owned, so I don't have much to compare against higher-end tools. Pros: Produced nice looking and secure crimps on a few different styles of pins. Comfortable grip for light occasional use. Definitely sturdy enough where I have no concerns about it falling apart.

Cons: A fair amount of friction in the mechanism is helpful when lining up your crimp, but unless you have really strong fingers, you'll need to use two hands to open the jaws back up. Markings on the crimp cavities are letters only--no indication of wire gauge or crimp size.

It can be a little finicky to keep the crimp pin lined up in the tool, and prevent it from rotating as you close the jaws this may have been a fault in the pins I was using Out of all the cons, only the amount of force needed to open up the jaws will be a permanent annoyance--the others should lessen as I get more experience with it.

That said, it seems preferable to having the jaws too loose, and you'd probably have to pony up for a ratcheting crimper to really address it. Versatile, reliable crimper that's easy to use. Very reliable tool. You just need to take the time to figure out which locations to use for your particular connectors, then you can get consistent, reliable crimps for a wide variety of open barrel terminals. You will need to crimp each one twice, one for the wires and one for the insulation.

This tool makes it easy to see what you're doing, too. With the more expensive crimpers, the die sets make it hard to see the terminal once it's in the die, so it's hard to get the wire placed just right. This eliminates that problem, but requires a separate crimp for the 2 spots that get crimped.

These are excellent crimpers!! They have the exact same markings even down to the font used for marking the openings. The price was about the same, and these are much beter than the ones the matco driver offered me.

I like their compound action, gives a nice even crimp and doesnt overcrimp. Shipment tracking ID will be provided after your product s is dispatched. The delivery date stated is indicative and subject to availability, payment authorization, verification, and processing.
