Received empty response from microsoft frontpage server extensions

Your ftp publishing directory could be wwwroot, or left blank, or something else. And so on. I just encountered a new problem. EW is still allowing me to publish updates now. That works properly, but now when I acutally publish the update my images are showing up on the site as red x's. I've tried many different things to try to correct it. I am getting this message now when it publishes the image:.

Any pages that contain FrontPage-specific features such as Themes, Shared Borders, or Web Components will not be updated properly if you save changes to them, and will not render as expected in a browser. You need to provide us with the information explained in the "FAQ.. Start Here" post when you have a question about how something displays. In short: give us a link to the page with the problem, and point out what you see and what you should see.

You have spaces in file names which can cause images to break but that doesn't appear to be the issue with that image. You are using Internet Explorer specific instructions in the head section with your page transition which could I suppose be causing the problem. Hi May I am checking to see whether this issue has been resolved. Wow what is up with MS in the last 5 years; they really seem to have lost an important edge which has always been to stay in touch with users and how they use the systems. I think the comment about FPSE losing popularity is someone talking out for their A ; it was and is a fast and effective means of development and testing. Add this to the heap of major screwups along with Windows 7 Search.

I bought the Frontpage Extensions for II7. While I agree there is a learning curve with VS I would NEVER do without it makes developing a dream and once you get it itis actually very simple and straight forward. Ask a question. Quick access.
